We offer boat, canoe, and kayak rentals for your enjoyment.
Our boat rentals
Fishing boats – Our fishing boats are aluminum 16 foot Polar Kraft boats with Yamaha 4 Stroke 15 and 20 HP motors with electric start.
Our fishing boats are all equipped with a mapping GPS / Sounder and all safety equipment, so you not only know where you are, but where the fish are as well. They are also equipped with VHF radios should the need arise to contact the Resort for assistance. Wild Fox Resort monitors Channel 16.
We also have a land based Maine Radio for our guests to use to contact members of their party while out fishing. Below is information on our GPS unit for those renting our boats.

Canoes and Kayaks
Enjoy the gorgeous Maine scenery from the water. Rent a canoe or kayak from our boat house and cruise the waterways. Be sure to pack a lunch as the surrounding waters are dotted with islands you’ll want to explore, many of which offer picnic facilities and campsites. Many guests like to quietly travel up Horseshoe Stream in the hopes of catching a moose feeding in the water.
Boat camping – traveling by canoe or kayak from campsite to campsite throughout the lake system – is another popular activity. You can retrace some of the historic Native American canoe routes maintained by the State of Maine.
Wild Fox Resort's dock
We are situated in a remote cove with a natural sandbar that protects our dock system and boats from natures worst elements. You can rest assured that your boat will be safe no matter the weather! We also offer a fish cleaning station on the dock.
Guests may bring their own fishing boats. Dock space is reserved on a first come first serve basis.
Please Note – we do not allow our guests to bring jet skis.
