There are fly fishing lakes within a short drive from our resort. Upper and Lower Oxbrook Lakes offer a Green Drake hatch for Brook Trout from mid June through August.
Occasionally Whitefish can be taken on dry flies in Junior and the West Grand chain of lakes, if you happen to be lucky enough to experience an afternoon hatch of the Eastern Green Drake it will be an afternoon you will remember. Whitefish fight very hard and if your timing is right. Your fly disappearing as a Whitefish sucks in your fly, could be one of the most memorable experiences of fly fishing for years to come.
