Our intent behind Wild Fox Resort was to build a high-technology Resort in a very remote and pristine portion of Maine.  We wanted our guests to have the ability to get away, but still remain connected to the outside world.  In order for the Resort to be successful we felt it had to reside on a large body of waterway.

In the year 2000, we initiated a search for the ultimate Resort property in Maine.  At the same time, we looked at purchasing an existing Resorts or Sporting Camp.  We quickly found two issues with the current Resorts on the market.  First, most of these Resorts resided on leased land.  Secondly, most of the facilities were poorly maintained and most had little acreage or no lake access to go with it

After a two year search, we found the ideal piece of land in Lakeville, Maine a 155 acre parcel of land with 3600 feet of water frontage nestled between two lakes.  The property gives our guests access to 11 lakes (some 25,000 acres of waterway) spread over a 25 mile radius.  In July of 2003, we purchased the property that would ultimately become the Wild Fox Resort.   As a result of Lakeville, Maine being an unorganized town, the State of Maine’s Land Use and Regulation Commission (LURC) serves as the planning and zoning authority for the town.  We completed an extensive LURC application for the building of the Resort.  On September 24, 2003 LURC issued us the permit to build the Resort.  The building of Wild Fox Resort commenced shortly afterwards.

Wild Fox Resort is built from the ground up so everything is new construction.  The entire infrastructure is high tech, yet it is all hidden from sight.  Our guests only see nature at its best.  We hope you enjoy our Resort.  We spent two years looking for the ideal place plus another three years building the infrastructure to make Wild Fox Resort a reality.  We think you will agree it was well worth the effort.
